We provide funded early education for children aged 2, 3 and 4 years old and offer the 30 hour extended entitlement for eligible children.
We can provide care for up to 14 children at each session. We have a large classroom with access to a fully enclosed large outdoor play area.

Caterpillars: 9 months - 2 years
Activities for our youngest children are based on their experiences of the world. We offer a wide range of sensory and exploratory resources which stimulate and encourage their development.
The children will engage in messy play activities such as painting and water play.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and use children's schema's, interests and individual learning styles to support our planning.

Butterflies: 2-4 years
The children experience a stimulating, challenging and fun environment, equipped to enable them to access a wide range of play and learning experiences. Activities are carefully planned and selected to build upon their natural curiosity as learners and to support the development of new skills.
There is a wide range of toys, equipment and resources for the children to choose from, including role play, books, construction, mark making, sand/water play, ICT and small world.
We encourage children to develop their confidence and independence particularly during mealtimes, toileting and dressing routines. However, we recognise the importance for each child's individuality and that they progress at their own pace, so assistance is always offered where needed.
We provide children with a broad and balanced curriculum based around children's individual needs. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and use children's schema's and individual learning styles to support our planning. When we feel children are ready we introduce them to letters and sounds activities to further develop their skills in preparation for school.

We have an extensive outdoor area where children play and learn.

At Reach for the Stars Nursery, the purpose and aim of our outdoor environment is;
• to allow children to be creative, imaginative and messy
• to learn about the natural world and it's wildlife
• to foster children's contact and involvement with nature
• to allow children to explore and have a sense of freedom and independence
